Watts Family - Blog 8



     This story is absolutely terrible and will hurt your soul. How could someone hurt their family so badly just to have another life. Around August 2018 in Frederick, Colorado a man named Christopher Lee Watts, worked  as an oil field operator. He looked like he was a part of a picture perfect life to the internet. His wife Shannon made videos of their little family doing activities like singing, cooking, anything that made them look like they were having an amazing time together. Chris decided in the early hours of August 13 to murder his wife Shannon who was pregnant, his daughters Bella and Celeste to. He killed his wife and unborn baby boy first by strangulation then, he went to Bella's room. Bella was killed by smothering. In the autopsy report later on it said that she had marks in her mouth showing she tried to fight for her life. Bella was four years old so she couldn’t fight back enough to win the fight against her own father for her innocent little life. Celeste also known as Cece was three years old and her life had ended like her sisters. The only difference was she hadn't fought for her life. She was so little and unaware of life itself she probably had no clue on what was about to happen to her. Chris didn’t want to be caught up with these murders so he put them where no one would think of looking. He gave his pregnant wife a shallow grave near the oil storage facility. He knew his daughters were small enough to actually fit in the oil tanks themself. Many people thought Chris was a little too calm for his family disappearing but everyone saw him in denial or confusion so he was innocent. Two days later, Watts confessed to killing his wife after a lot of questions he then confessed about the kids. In prison some investigators came to talk to him about things. One of Christopher's replies was “ I prayed for the HazMat workers and anyone else who had to see the aftermath”. No one has any clue on why this man would kill his sweet, beautiful little family just for another women.

Athena Strand’s ~ Blog 13

       You may have heard of the tragic story of Athena Strand. She was only seven years old when her life was tragically taken away from her. As most would say she didn't give to live at all experience anything for herself. Athena had walked home from school like usual but when she got home it was a little different. Her stepmother and her had a fight over something. They were both upset so Athena walked away from her stepmother. That wasn't usual for kids to walk away from situation they didn't like but then the stepmother processed to start cooking dinner for the small family. Athena went outside to play like a usual seven-year-old would always want to play no matter what. Later that day her stepmother looked for her for an entire hour, but she couldn't find her.
